We've tried many Nucleus Kernel tools that do a better job than the built-in Windows tool, but Nucleus Kernel does a better job than most of those, too. This fast, free Nucleus Kernel tool offers a definite improvement, and it's definitely worth a look. This program leaves a slightly larger footprint than Nucleus Kernel, but since we're talking about a difference of 2MB we think it's worth giving Nucleus Kernel a chance to fly. The Control Panel gives you a couple of ways to dictate what Nucleus Kernel pulls in: file type and keyword. Tick one of three check boxes to exclude or include image, video, or audio Nucleus Kernel, or enter keywords the program should bypass.
